In a pan-European ceremony, Merck paid tribute to 350 years of impressive history. As lead agency on the occasion, we had the honour of creating an event on multiple levels with a powerful immersive content, one that would interweave the history of the company with its present and future. Our presentation in three acts invited guests to embark on a fascinating trip through time, starting with the origins of the company in a small Darmstadt pharmacy.
A 360 degree dome film linked significant milestones in the company's history with contemporary scientific and historical events. A water basin, which we had specially designed for the ceremony, emphasised and enlarged the central inner space and accentuated the effect of the media showings with its animated reflections.
On 1 March 2019, before an audience of 320 selected guests, the world premiere of the first fully electrical SUV, the Jaguar I-PACE, took place in Düsseldorf. We had the honour of realising this exclusive unveiling in the exhibition room of the famous K20 Museum of Modern Art. In the style of a British TV show, the 40-minute world premiere was streamed live from the Magna Steyr factory in Graz directly to Düsseldorf. Exciting infotainment relating to electromobility was accompanied by an 'electrifying' light installation. Immediately following the unveiling, the 320 guests were actually able to experience the Jaguar I-PACE live, before the evening came to an end with a programme of electronic music.
Football culture in the heart of Europe, indeed in the heart of Frankfurt: OUTFITTER opened its first concept store, and we were responsible for the architecture. In this case we took on holistic responsibility for the entire project - from the conception through to the handover of the ready-to-use premises. In designing the 510 square metre area of the shop, we were faithful to the slogan 'With heart and turf', focusing entirely on urban football culture and anchoring it effectively in the pulse of the Main metropolis. The resulting store design boasts an impressively clear ambiance, with occasional dramatically effective highlights, like the cages evocative of city football grounds. Another special feature - in partnership with the industry leader adidas, the shop's own 'lab' offers individual laser embellishment of football shoes.
